Federal agents recover 3,000 pounds of pot

TUCSON, Ariz. - Border Patrol agents working in southern Arizona seized nearly 3,000 pounds of marijuana worth about $2.3 million.
The Border Patrol says agents working near Lukeville Saturday south of Ajo (AH'-hoh) watched as a truck drove through the Organ Pipe National Monument. Eventually, agents caught up with the truck and a group of men fled heading south, possibly to Mexico.
Agents found several bundles of marijuana. The truck and the drugs were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
