Border Patrol arrests man with marijuana-filled backpack

TUCSON, AZ (KPHO) -

Customs and Borders Protection says a man from Mexico, wearing booties on his shoes to conceal his footprints, was arrested Thursday for transporting marijuana.

CBP says they seized 187 pounds of narcotics from the man's homemade backpack while patrolling on Highway 286.

Agents recovered three more backpacks filled with contraband but the other drug smugglers had fled the area, according to authorities.
