6 Bulldog Gang Members Await Sentencing in Wyoming Meth Case

(Press Release) United States Attorney Christopher A. Crofts announced that four individuals entered guilty pleas and four individuals were found guilty by a jury on November 4, 2011, after a trial that lasted more than one month, on a multi-count superseding indictment issued from the Grand Jury during its January 2011 session.

22-year-old John Michael Morgan of Greybull, Wyoming, pled guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and to distribute more than 500 grams of methamphetamine and one count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking felony. 31-year-old Danny Hernandez of Clovis, California, and 36-year-old Kimberly Perkins of Sheridan, Wyoming, each pled guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and to distribute methamphetamine. Hernadez pled to distributing no more than 50 grams of methamphetamine and Perkins pled to distributing more than 500 grams of methamphetamine. 33-year-old Raymundo Correa of Clovis, California, pled guilty to one count of conspiracy to launder money. Sentencing for Hernandez and Perkins is currently set for November 29, 2011, in U.S. District Court. Sentencing for Correa is currently set for December 5, 2011.



The jury trial involving the remaining four individuals, 31-year-old Robert Velasquez, Jr. of Greybull, Wyoming; 33-year-old Miguel Angel Ordaz of Sheridan, 34-year-old Wyoming; Daniel George Renteria of Gillette, Wyoming; and 28-year-old Alex Garcia, Jr. of Fresno, California, commenced on September 27, 2011 with the jury returning a verdict on November 4, 2011.
Robert Velasquez Jr. was found guilty on one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute methamphetamine; one count of conspiracy to launder money; one count of distribution of 50 grams of methamphetamine; and two counts of possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug felony.
Miguel Angel Ordaz was found guilty of one of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute more than 500 grams of methamphetamine; one count of conspiracy to launder money; one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine; one count of possession of firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking felony; one count of possessing a machine gun in furtherance of drug trafficking felony; and one count of possession of a machine gun not registered in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record.
Daniel George Renteria of Gillette, Wyoming, was found guilty of one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute more than 500 grams methamphetamine and one count of conspiracy to launder money.

Alex Garcia, Jr. of Fresno, California, was found guilty on one count of conspiracy to launder money. Velasquez, Ordaz, Renteria, Garcia, Hernandez and Correa were members of a street gang from Fresno, California, known as the Fresno Bulldogs. Sentencing for Velasquez, Ordaz, Renteria and Garcia is set for January 13, 2011, in U.S. District Court.
