Rio Grande City, Texas – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Rio Grande City Port of Entry apprehended three women wanted on outstanding warrants from Sullivan City, Texas in three separate enforcement actions.
The first arrest took place on November 22, 2011 when CBP officers at the Rio Grande City International Bridge referred Blanca Estela Martinez, 37, a United States citizen who resides in Roma, Texas for a secondary examination after a primary database check identified her as a possible match to an active arrest warrant. At secondary, a CBP officer further confirmed Blanca Estela Martinez as the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant from the Sullivan City Police Department in Sullivan City, Texas.
CBP officers arrested Blanca Estela Martinez and subsequently turned her over to the custody of the Sullivan City Police Department.
The next case on November 22, 2011 involved the detention of a female stopped by CBP officers as she attempted to enter the country at the Los Ebanos Ferry international crossing. The female, identified as 22-year-old Tania Karina Lopez, was intercepted by CBP officers as a pedestrian. A CBP officer at primary inspection used a CBP database and identified Tania Karina Lopez as the subject of an outstanding warrant from the Sullivan City Police Department. CBP officers arrested Tania Karina Lopez and turned her over to the custody of the Sullivan City Police Department.
In the third case, again on November 22, 2011, and back at the Rio Grande City International Bridge, a CBP officer’s primary examination of a female resulted in the discovery of a possible wanted fugitive. The female, identified as 28-year-old Brenda Yadhira Frausto, a U.S. citizen who resides in Rio Grande City, Texas was escorted to passport processing after a CBP database check at primary inspection by CBP officers revealed a possible match to a wanted person. In CBP secondary, officers determined Brenda Yadhira Frausto to be a person wanted by the Sullivan City Police Department. CBP officers arrested Brenda Yadhira Frausto and subsequently turned her over to the custody of the Sullivan City Police Department.
In all cases the female fugitives were turned over to the Sullivan City Police Department and transported to the city jail for dispositions of their pending charges.
