FBI Names Aaron Ford Special Agent in Charge of FBI's Memphis Division

The Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) named Aaron Ford special agent in charge of FBI's Memphis Division.

Ford began his career as an FBI agent in 1985 in the St. Louis Division where he organized crime matters and worked violent crime. He was later transferred to the Newark Division in 1989 where he served as team leader on the SWAT team. Ford was promoted to supervisory special agent on a drug squad in 1998.

In 2006, Ford became team leader in the Inspection Division at FBI's headquarters, and in late 2007 he returned to the Newark Division as assistant special agent in charge where he oversaw the administrative branch and the criminal enterprise branch.

Most recently, Ford served as an inspector in FBI's Inspection Division where he oversaw field office and FBI headquarter inspections, shooting incident review teams, audits and special inquiries.

Ford earned a Bachelor of Science in criminology from Tennessee State University and a Juris Doctor from Rutgers School of Law.
